RRR Grabs Spotlight at National Conference of Audiologists

Posted on May 7, 2007

Rhythm, Rhyme, Results held center stage at the American Academy of Audiology Conference, AudiologyNOW! 2007, in Denver, CO, with five thousand delegates clapping and singing along to Ben Jackson’s lively and energetic rapping of Turn it to the Left. At the finish Jackson received a standing ovation for the timely message aimed at young music lovers.

Jackson and Robert Mitchell, founders and managers of Rhythm, Rhyme, Results, originally wrote Turn It to the Left for a public awareness clinic at the renowned Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary in Boston, MA. It was so well received that Dr. Sharon Kujawa, Director of the Department of Audiology, asked if she could use it to introduce her lectures and in her community outreach programs. The song generated enthusiasm at events across the country, and Dr. Kujawa suggested that it be presented at the Academy’s national conference. Jackson flew to Denver, CO, and performed it during the plenary session, where it won enthusiastic praise from delegates.

An original version of this rap single is available, complimentary with each $20 gift to the American Academy of Audiology Foundation (www.audiologyfoundation.org). These donations will fund research on noise-induced hearing loss.

Rhythm, Rhyme, Results is proud to be a part of an effort to make the public aware of the detrimental effects of loud noise on hearing and the need for more education on the subject.
