Common Sense Media, a leading media and entertainment advocacy group, recently reviewed all four of RRR’s curriculum-based music albums. The organization rated three of the four albums a perfect five out of five stars.

Excerpt from the Language Arts review:

Relaying a message with music isn’t new. But deconstructing the more complex material in middle-school curricula, and teaching those concepts via clever music and lyrics, has never worked all that well–until now.

The genius of the Rhythm Rhyme Results series lies partly in the care taken to identify crucial concepts, and partly in the talent applied to presenting them in musical form. The Language Arts CD presents ten lessons, including “Verb Tense,” “Parts of Speech,” and “Figurative Language,” set to music that is clever, contemporary, and beautifully performed and produced. The motivational “Sit Down & Write” is a highlight that sums up the importance of the written word for scribes of all ages.

Excerpt from the Math review:

[T]he talented Rhythm Rhyme Results crew pulls the songs off with their usual clever finesse, and the concepts become clearer with a second listen. One highlight, “Meters, Liters, and Grams,” describes measurements in terms of the size of every-day objects: “A paper clip weighs about a gram/a big textbook is a kilogram, man, but a milligram, that’s a little harder to slice/because 10 milligrams is about a grain of rice” — making the concepts relevant and easy to understand.

Parents need to know that this imaginative CD, part of the Rhythm Rhyme Results educational rap music series, teaches middle-school math in an unforgettable rap format that actually sounds authentic.

Excerpt from the Science review:

The Science CD features nine songs that add sparkle to academic material that is often presented in a way that makes it seem obtuse and boring. It helps that the music is clever, contemporary, and beautifully performed and produced. The performers sound like they really care about those tide tables, and they’ll no doubt help your student to care, too.

Excerpt from the Social Studies (US History) review:

Song titles like “Redcoats vs. Rebels,” “Declaration of Independence,” and “44 Presidents” cover American history with Rhythm Rhyme Result’s signature wit and style. Danceable backup tracks and clever rhymes will help middle-school students remember the basic facts, places, and dates associated with important moments in history. Rhythm Rhyme Results is able to pack in tons of history facts without being overwhelming. And they’ve managed to pull off a seamingly impossible feat: the music actually sounds cool.
